Sharon Allaway

Sharon is the founder of Marum Healthcare Ltd, a company that helps organisations measure and manage employee health risk for business success.   Her current work involves advising the railway industry on researching occupational health issues.

She is a management consultant with 9 years’ experience in measuring and managing employee health risk underpinned by her MBA and 10 years’ research into using clinical data as indicators of business risk in both manufacturing and service industries, making her uniquely qualified in the field of corporate healthcare.

Her expertise, gained whilst working for BUPA, includes designing and developing corporate healthcare strategies, designing and developing health risk management tools (health risk appraisals, clinical audits, sickness absence management programmes, health screening protocols), organising and running quality management programmes and carrying out business project evaluation exercises.

Since becoming an independent consultant in 1999, Sharon has continued to work with BUPA and other healthcare insurance companies in the field of corporate healthcare.   She has also been invited to write and lecture on the subject of managing occupational health risk by clients such as Croner, the Department of Health and a number of universities.
